My Hawaii

My Hawaii

By Richard Drake Jones
Come with me to a land I love,
Where palm trees grow,
And peace is the dove.
For this land of love and Aloha,
Is my island home.
Far away now I have roamed,
To a place across the oceans,
But yearning burns deep in my soul,
For the calm waters and dance,
Of hula hands that speak of a distant time,
I yearn for my island home,
Where some day soon I hope to roam.
Amongst the ferns and trees,
Come with me,
Set your soul free,
Come see my Hawaii,
Land of Aloha Nei,
Land of Love and Joy,
Where people are free,
Come to my island home with me,
Sit beneath the coconut tree's,
Grab a cool one,
And let's have fun beneath the Hawaiian sun,
Sunsets, and sunrises,
Of beauty surprises.
This is my land,
My island home.
My Hawaii is for you and for me.
